Hello Fellow Bird Lovers

Does anyone else miss blogging? I’m talking about the early 2000s kind, where people shared their thoughts, photos, and random little joys without worrying too much about algorithms or content strategies. You would sit down with your morning coffee and scroll through your Google Reader, catching up on your favorite blogs. Just cozy corners of the internet filled with stories, fun finds, and mood boards.

I still remember Creature Comforts, always bursting with DIY craft ideas galore and beautiful art & illustrations. And of course, one of the OG of blogs, Cup of Jo is still going strong.

Lately, I find myself craving that slower pace again. Social media can be fun and connective, but it also feels like everything is moving at double speed. A blur of ads, endless sponsored content, and limited “TODAY ONLY” deals. I get it! The world is expensive, and we’ve all got bills to pay, things to do, places to be. But I miss the calm corners of the internet.

So here I am, gently reviving the spirit of blogging with The Joy of Birds, a small, whimsical place to rest, read, and rediscover wonder. I’ll be sharing little stories, photos, and thoughts from my bird-watching adventures. And to be transparent: I’m also exploring if it’s possible to create something that brings joy and a bit of ease, maybe even some passive income.

So whether you’re here for the birds, the nostalgia, or just to pass the time — welcome. Let’s be curious. Let’s be a little silly.

P.S. I’m not a writer. Just a lady who loves birds.
